The Bathtub

Karen: because the whole thing was actually inspired by the fact that I, ah, accidently turned a section of the floor transparent and couldn't turn it back
Me: i turned it back already :p
Me: i notice the floor was... moved slightly
Karen: Yeah. the whole thing started when I was wrestling grimly....
Karen: ....with a skirt
Me: i thought it would be something like that
Karen: long story. Boring story.
Karen: but suddenly there was a hole in the floor so I was like, what will cover the hole in the floor.
Karen: Bathtub seemed a likely prospect

Words can't describe the gigantic-ness of a 10m*10m bathtub.

Me: ...
Karen: It's really an adorable skirt though, if I can just pry off that dang belt

...

Karen: whatever possessed her to put a giant honking white belt on an adorable skirt I'll never know

I'm back! (I think.)

I took a week off work and focused on getting enough sleep.

Then I ran off to Malaysia for a weekend, snorkelled for an eyeful of dead corals, climbed and soaked up freezing waterfalls, stubbed a foot along the way, and got me a sunburn on the boat journey home.

It was, erm, rejuvenating.

Especially when my best friend who shared a bed with me in our tiny shack woke me up at 1.30am to ask me what the time was.

And then woke me up an hour later to ask for a pillow swop, because her pillow was too thick. Yes, her pillow was too thick indeed, so I ended up sleeping without a pillow. I won't mention that we had another friend in the same room who had 2 pillows but got to sleep soundly through the night.

I was kicked several times and sat up in the morning to find that I had been squashed against the wall and there was a pretty woman sprawled in the middle of my bed.

That same pretty woman told me that she wanted to wake me up to find out if the thick pillow could do for me, but did not do so in case she disturbed my sleep. So... considerate.

I can go on and on.

Anyway, that's what I've been doing in RL, apart from hanging in there until I got to the break. I feel relaxed now. I hope it lasts for a little while at least.

Although I didn't blog, I was halfheartedly active in SL. Therefore, home looks like this now.

I tore up and put together 2 houses from Mandy's Manors, a 3-storey estate house and an 8-storey castle. It is now a 4-storey castle. I bet Mandy will be delighted to see how I've distorted her buildings beyond recognition.

This is the back.

It remains my all-time favourite old house. I think I have never mentioned that it was from Ace's Spaces and Park Life. I don't remember exactly which side.

Because I am as abrupt and awkward as ever, I shall end my post here.

I hope I will be inspired to resume regular blogging.

I give up on myself.

This is what my home looks like for now.

I merged 2 houses, re-textured the wood and it looked great.

If you overlook my photography. And... the decor. I'll admit it's kind of messy.

But the point is, I have a really cool house despite my maybe-perhaps-but-who-really-cares less than sophisticated decor. And I still love it after using this same house for more than 6 months. (Yep Samanthe, I'm rubbing it in. Again. :p)

So when I started to explore further into building, I was inspired to make something just as cool.

...

I don't know how, don't ask me why.

Squashed by my new pool.

(Help.)

I am glad to report that I am doing fine, and that dangerous part of the pool has been removed.

Happy New Year!

May everyone have a happy and prosperous year ahead!

And what is a better time than the start of the year to share that my SL family Eturnal Night has started a blog? Ok, I was the one who did it. :D And now I am delighted with how it has turned out. Seriously, my family rawks! (Click here! Click here!)

Meanwhile, I am puzzled over my missing roof.

Now please excuse us while we go ponder over it.

Home Makeover (sort of) Fail

You are very welcome to admire my terrible job at trying to help Karen turn our home into an indoor garden.

It's so... green. And mossy. Smacked right in the middle of winter. And I ruined her textures.

Of course, this sort of thing only happens after Karen goes to sleep. By the time she woke up, I had taken back half the mess. I swear I don't exist for the purpose of turning her SL home into a nightmare.

Oh, and my new pet turtle says hi. :D

Preparing for Christmas

This will be my first Christmas in SL. :D

So Karen bought me a freaking expensive tree.

As you can sort of see, my home is being decorated for the season. But I have discovered that I don't really know much about Christmas decorating except for putting up a dozen triangle trees and messing up everywhere else. Though there was an isolated episode of geniusinspiration with the snowmen.

I need Karen's help.

Photoshoot 14

It has been forever since I last did a photoshoot. I have been sooo distracted. This one was also unplanned, it just happened spontaneously at home by my own lotus spring.

I seriously cannot remember how I got this thing. Karen called it a holy-cow-that-s-a-big-damn-stone-thing. I love it.

More Boring Stuff

I spent the past week building a house extension.

It has no doors still. I don't think I can stomach the skill of scripting anytime soon.

Yes, you are right. I am crazy.

Updates (I need to attend a course on "How to Give Your Blog Post an Interesting Title")

Nevertheless, the weekend has been pretty good in both RL and SL. You know how there is that group of very decent, lovely, peaceful and considerate people, but who should not be put together because they will somehow end up like a portable marketplace? Someone put them together for the weekend and unleashed them onto me. It's been a while since I have gotten a headache that way. :)

Well, so, anyway, I don't know how I did it, but in spite of the lesser time I could spend in SL, I managed to accomplish a few things over the weekend. I even had time to bug Sashia throughout, just to have something to do. She was totally gracious and even seemed to enjoy my babbling, but I must have appeared like... let's forget it and talk about something else. :p

Here's an updated pic of my home. :D

The 3rd storey of the house was made by me, after Karen dropped me some magical rules about building. *beams with pride* The windows were ripped (legally) from a skybox though.

And the statue-looking figure up there is not a statue. It is me, as I sat looking out at the vast blue zen-like sky and explored the amazing art of SL building. It was therapeutic.

Until I saw what I made.

I swear it isn't as bad as it looks.

If you don't believe me, drop me an IM or leave a comment in this post with your SL name. I'll send one to you so that you can see it for yourself. (It's really my slysincere way of finding out who's reading my blog. :p)

And in case the greyness blobs everything out for you the way it did for me, I am obliged to explain that it is a 23-prim 2-storey skybox 20*20*10. It will need some texturing, which is not a problem since I set it to be modifiable. Or I could rummage my inventory to see if I can find any textures you like. I can even make a hole for a door if you want. But I don't know how to make a door yet, I can only make the hole. Anyway, IM me or comment ok? We can discuss. :D

So... Happening Weekend Again

First of all, welcome to my new home. :D

(This pic is outdated by now, our "renovations" were nowhere near finished yet when I took this. Have you ever seen a vampire home this kiddish? :p)

Karen and I moved to Eturnal over the weekend. She is such a sporting girl that I don't know how to thank her enough. She didn't know Eturnal and wasn't interested in BL, but she agreed to move because she knew I was desperately in love with Eturnal.

My new neighbours are all Eturnal family, so there will be no more random strangers messing with our home. :D And when we fall off the plot, we will land onto the neat beautiful Eturnal land (or water, if I jump from a particular corner).

I gotta thank Sashia too, for all the trouble *wink* setting up this lovely space for me. I realise that I haven't been mentioning much of Sashia in my blog, although I have been having a lot of fun with her ever since Vivienne started pestering her.

So let me re-introduce Sashia again. :p She was promoted to be our new Queen yesterday, following an exciting incident which I will talk about later if I can find the correct words. I am not sure if this is the right sentiment to express, but I am happy to see her as the Queen after witnessing all her devoted work for the Eturnal family.

Oh well, nothing (in RL or SL) is permanent. We'll just have to appreciate and enjoy what we have while it lasts. :)

The Favourite Hangout

Friends who come to visit always inevitably end up on the roof. It might have something to do with a pool and a rainbow and some trial flowers. And an ad-hoc blankie. Or maybe it just feels open and outdoorsy.

Melizsa is finally human. :p

...

ISO audit in RL today. :(

But it's over! Yay! :D

The Heroine (Me!)

Karen put up a pool on our rooftop, and we decided to go soak it up.

It was absolutely perfect, even though we kinda looked like murdered dolls in floats. But Karen said nobody would murder a woman wearing flippers, so my flippers would protect us both. So I became the heroine.

Doesn't she look sooo cute?

And I loveee my float.

Guess what this is?!

It's my new room! Woohoo!!

Ok, technically it belongs to Karen since she's shelling out for all the rent and refusing to let me pay a single Linden. She moved into a big house and it had a lot of space so she gave me one of her rooms to play in. This will be my room until she throws me out. :p

What do you think? :D

Lovely, right? Say yes, or I'll make you answer to Karen.

Anyway I love love loveee it! It is connected to both balconies of the house, which means I can fly right in and jump right out.

Ok, out of point.

But still, totally awesome!!!

I couldn't get enough of it. :D :D :D

Here's what you get when you peek through my window glass. AV not included.

Actually I love the rest of our house too, but I better not let myself think too much about it or I'll eventually turn it into a freak show of some sort. I'd gotten Carlotta over to drop a jellyfish and a shark, but I swear we didn't do it on purpose. It's a bit complicated to explain though. :p

I also spent my weekend running around looking for teddies and bunnies for my room but I ended up having to stop myself from trying to buy a giant crab. Well, Karen's reaction helped a lot in changing my mind. :p She bought an aquarium though. And she liked the shark. We may have a few sharks swimming around our house in future.

And this is our neighbourhood.

I sincerely hope that my neighbours like me, and the giant scheme that I am hoping Karen will let me do up for our roof.
