How to make a megaprim?

Me: how did you stretch that?
Karen: I just... stretched it
Me: we usually can't stretch anything to be more than 10m, right?
Karen: oh no, that changed a while ago
Karen: the 10m limit is gone
Me: didn't work for me :(
Karen: I think you have to be the owner?
Me: sorry i spoiled your prim
Me: lol
Karen: you didn't spoil it, lol
Karen: It's just a stupid flat prim
Me: still didn't work for me
...
Me: hmmm
Karen: er, you might want to tp home :D
Me: is there any special setting you have that i don't?
Karen: I think I just smashed us through the skybox floor
Me: i am safe and sound :D
Karen: Perhaps I have Magikul powurrs
Me: ...
Me: there's nothing like a megaprim to keep me awake at night
Karen: but no, I am looking through my settings and I don't see "make big honking prims" checked anywhere
Karen: as far as i know they just changed the 10x10x10 limit
Me: blah, will check it out tomorrow

So... how do I make a megaprim???

I give up on myself.

This is what my home looks like for now.

I merged 2 houses, re-textured the wood and it looked great.

If you overlook my photography. And... the decor. I'll admit it's kind of messy.

But the point is, I have a really cool house despite my maybe-perhaps-but-who-really-cares less than sophisticated decor. And I still love it after using this same house for more than 6 months. (Yep Samanthe, I'm rubbing it in. Again. :p)

So when I started to explore further into building, I was inspired to make something just as cool.

More Boring Stuff

I spent the past week building a house extension.


It has no doors still. I don't think I can stomach the skill of scripting anytime soon.

Sick and Building... Wow, I make so much sense.

I am trying to ignore the irritation in my throat as I look drowsily (thanks to medication) at the 2545 tasks that I need to clear, like right now. :( At least the fever's down and the ache feels better. RL? Yes, I have one. :p Btw, does throat irritation cause hiccups? Or is it just me?

Fever and brain-talk doesn't mix well, so I'll spare you and not say much today. And maybe the next few days.

I'll just show you my new masterpiecehumble construction.

I took my ugly grey blob of a skybox and improved it to this 67-prim 4-storey glass building 20*20*20. It has 4 rooms (one in each storey) and rooftop access. Still no doors though, I'll need to learn how to make some soon. I am sure I will do better in future.

Updates (I need to attend a course on "How to Give Your Blog Post an Interesting Title")

Nevertheless, the weekend has been pretty good in both RL and SL. You know how there is that group of very decent, lovely, peaceful and considerate people, but who should not be put together because they will somehow end up like a portable marketplace? Someone put them together for the weekend and unleashed them onto me. It's been a while since I have gotten a headache that way. :)

Well, so, anyway, I don't know how I did it, but in spite of the lesser time I could spend in SL, I managed to accomplish a few things over the weekend. I even had time to bug Sashia throughout, just to have something to do. She was totally gracious and even seemed to enjoy my babbling, but I must have appeared like... let's forget it and talk about something else. :p

Here's an updated pic of my home. :D

The 3rd storey of the house was made by me, after Karen dropped me some magical rules about building. *beams with pride* The windows were ripped (legally) from a skybox though.

And the statue-looking figure up there is not a statue. It is me, as I sat looking out at the vast blue zen-like sky and explored the amazing art of SL building. It was therapeutic.

Until I saw what I made.

I swear it isn't as bad as it looks.

If you don't believe me, drop me an IM or leave a comment in this post with your SL name. I'll send one to you so that you can see it for yourself. (It's really my slysincere way of finding out who's reading my blog. :p)

And in case the greyness blobs everything out for you the way it did for me, I am obliged to explain that it is a 23-prim 2-storey skybox 20*20*10. It will need some texturing, which is not a problem since I set it to be modifiable. Or I could rummage my inventory to see if I can find any textures you like. I can even make a hole for a door if you want. But I don't know how to make a door yet, I can only make the hole. Anyway, IM me or comment ok? We can discuss. :D
